Note to self: It’s much faster to make a backdrop when you don’t have to miter corners of ity bity molding.
I made this backdrop today. Yesterday, I had painted the board a Parisian blue and all of the moldings ivory. This morning, I painted the lighter blue panels and glued everything down.
The picture in the middle is a vintage postcard and I picked up the frame at an antique shop years ago. I found the moldings at the top and bottom of the two side panels at a dollhouse shop last weekend. The tall skinny decorative moldings inside the panels I found on Etsy. I added the small shelves on top from a scrap of dollhouse baseboard molding. I picked up the two candlesticks in an antique shop a while ago and glued them on the shelves so I don’t lose them.
I think this is my favorite backdrop so far.
