I’m trying out a new sewing pattern inspired by another 60’s mod fashion. This dress is hand sewn from a vintage Anna Sui handkerchief with a coordinating hat. Available now in my Etsy shop.

This dress was inspired by a vintage sewing pattern, circa 1957. The seaming on the skirt is very unusual and I just had to give it a go. I used a vintage Anna Sui handkerchief in a vibrant shade of red with little silver dots in the centers of the flowers. To softly support the fullness of the skirt, I also made a lace petticoat. Rhinestone brooch is also included. Available now in my Etsy shop.
This lovely suit is made from a vintage Anna Sui handkerchief. To accentuate the lovely shades of blue in the flowers, I made the bodice of the dress from turquoise China silk. And a bolero jacket of black silk tissue taffeta keeps off the chill. A striking turquoise rhinestone and pearl magnetic brooch completes the look. Available now in my Etsy shop.
