I happened to have two identical vintage printed hankies with this perfectly scaled houndstooth in lavender and white with a red floral border. I immediately thought of making a suit, so of course the jacket needed a ruffled peplum from the hankie border. This fashion is available now in my Etsy shop.

Love the style of this suit! Peplum done right! Also a fan of the houndstooth and those buttons! I really like how the red grounds both the jacket and skirt, making red shoes the perfect choice for this outfit. Closed-toed pumps make great sense considering the sleeve length.
